Ephesus Marble Road Informations

In the middle of the road, on the agora side, it is believed that the figures, which were taken under protection on the ground today, are the advertising of brothels by many people. On the marble is a female head, a left foot and a heart shape. These figures are considered to be a woman and her directions to the brothel.

The library side of the road is based on the walls of the agora. During the time of Emperor Nero, a high sidewalk was added here. On the right side there is a roof-top sidewalk and shops, just like on the Kuretler street.
